The Palm Tribeca - New York

Disappointed. it was not long there. quite different experience. the server was distracted and disappeared in the middle of the meal. eating was okay. steaks were good. fish only ok. a special feeling of the place away. will not be back.

Went to the Palm on the west side. It was awful-noisy, touristy, spotty service. This Palm was the opposite. We loved it. Quiet, great lobster. Will go again.

The food was priced fairly but on the high side. The lobster of 1 1/2 pounds had to be returned twice (cold) and finally reordered and recooked. The 3-pound lobster was very good as were the potatoes. The manager Richard was very accommodating and helpful with the lobster issue.

The server was very friendly, but there was no bread on the table. I was expecting the tuna to come in a salad, but it was served with just vegetables and cut tuna. The anchovy was very strong, which I enjoyed, but I left feeling still hungry.

The service at the restaurant was quite slow, but we were grateful that the manager gave us a credit in recognition of our feedback.
