Sarge's Delicatessen Downtown

I love this place and try to visit every time I am in NYC. My recent visit was for breakfast. Staff and customers are very friendly. Great sandwiches too.

THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED. Too bad. Downtown really needed Sarge’s’ triple deckers! We’ll hit the 3rd Avenue one as usual, but it’s a shame the pandemic claimed another one.

I get the corned beef sandwich and it’s delicious, with potato salad. Haven’t tried anything else here yet.

It's a nice little spot with the best pastrami and cheesecakes I've had in the city. Their menu is quite large and so far everything else I've tried is good. Definitely where I bring people who come to visit to give them a taste of a Jewish deli

Sarges is great especially if you have groupon. I bought $150.00 dollars worth of tongue, corned, pastrami, brisket for a part we had and it all vanished in minutes. But you know the best part? It was the mustard. Real deli mustard. Wow. They have good take out and delivery too and you don't have to be Jewish to enjoy it. I actually lived next door at 550 3rd Ave for about a year when it was twice the size. This is the real thing Katz's is a tourist attraction and that area is filled with vermin so I would be careful before you send a salami to your son in the army
