Bidrage med feedbackThere must be more personal, not 1 waitress for 50 ppl. French toast was dry, ordered garnelen tacos, which was not on the brunch menu. cheaper alcohol in plastic dietary caps for dishes. broken toilet, which does not become flush. I had to move my table to share a party that had no reservation. I had a reservation! dj made the place worth. had a party atmosphere. although only 1 waitress, was very nice.
I had a reservation that they called to confirm the night before. when I came to the restaurant, it was closed. we went over the street and ate and when we were finished, la avenida was not yet open. I wanted to have my birthday brunch there and wanted to check it out. well, what I did because I don't want to go to the brunch if I don't know if the restaurant is open or not. I would have expected at least one call if they would not open this day
Had a good time here it was perfect for Mother's Day the service was good and the eating was great. the owners and the waitresses were very polite and helpful
The restaurant had a fantastic mood! super warm and welcoming! the guacamole was the best I had in nyc! the drinks were made perfect! everything we ordered was fresh, simple and delicious! we will be absolutely back!
We 've been in Harlem for almost four years and have yet to find a great taco place until tonight. The website was beautifully designed but from the looks of it we thought we were going to walk into a much fancier place. The place looked more HK on the website but what we got was Spanish Harlem and this is exactly what we wanted. I was very skeptical because the place seemed a Mexican restaurant but it had mashed potatoes and hamburgers on the menu which is usually never a good sign. NOW in short the service was fast and amazing. Nice and not too sweet margaritas, delicious guac served with salsa and the tacos (chicken and shrimp) were both fantastic. Usually the chicken is super dried out and the shrimp overcooked but this was not the case at all. Both seemed cooked to order. Only two desserts on the menu and we tried them both which were great. Only complaints were that the ice cream seemed freezer burned a bit. Very frosty and not creamy and I wished that there would have been a different sauce served with one of the desserts. The caramel sauce was great but something different would have been better for the crepes. Overall a great experience that will definitely bring us back! Of course consistency is the key for us so I hope that when we go back everything is just as good. Thanks La Avenida!
