Bidrage med feedbackDelicious food and reasonably priced for the size and quality of the dishes.
I was taken here by a colleague with good intentions, who thought there would be more vegetarian options on the menu than there actually were. I believe Kaoru is likely very traditional, and therefore only has a couple of side vegetarian dishes. Warning that there's fish sauce in the miso soup that is offered before your meal is served, as well.
Local sushi spot that is super authentic. The fish is great quality and although expensive, it's worth a splurge lunch
I've never had chirashi in such small cuts but the bowl (Three Amigos) was still absolutely scrumptious with every fish bursting with fresh flavor alongside the rolls we ordered. Albeit a bit pricey, the interior makes it a great place to bring some friends to as well.
Been to Kaoru several times now. Our favorite part about Kaoru is the incredibly fresh sashimi and uni. I’m very picky about salmon sashimi, at Kaoru, the salmon sashimi is smooth and silky texture with a clean, delicate flavor. I rarely order it, but at Kaoru, I order the salmon every time. The karaage is also awesome and worth ordering. My only complaint is that the exhaust system can’t always keep up with the deep fryer. It doesn’t stop us, we keep going back, it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend the bowls- add that amazing otoro, you deserve it!
