Probably my favorite Italian restaurant on the UWS. Old school vibe with great food and wine. My wife and I are frequent customers. Can’t go wrong on the menu.Food: 5/5

Went here for a birthday dinner. Nice italian place, not great not bad. My Seabream dish was delish but my sister’s pasta was basically tasteless. We waited a long time for dinner because someone ordered a porkchop and apparently that takes much longer ? Waiter was nice, service was slow.

Food was tasty but tiny portion of chicken. Salads good and large. Service impersonal and obvious neglect once we weren’t having alcohol. With so many great Italian restaurants in Manhattan…

A neighborhood joint like Gennaro cannot survive or even thrive unless it offers nop-notch food and service.Best Italian in town. You simply cannot go wrong with any dish.Food: 5/5
