Pairing of the lump crab with the innovative foie gras preparation as appetizers, followed by the Dover Sole and the Cape Cod Scallops was just absolutely perfect. I cannot cook a scallop like this; it was outstanding. It helps that the staff understands what the Chef is thinking as he prepares the various dishes and what combinations of food dishes would complement each other. Our waiter Jed is adept at explaining the Batard menu and we always like to discuss menu items in detail with him before ordering; we have never been disappointed which is why Batard is our favorite NYC restaurant. The Batard wine list is outstanding!!! Ask Robert to recommend a bottle of your favorite type of wine for its quality drinking above its price point; you will be pleasantly surprised. If we could only eat in one NYC restaurant, it would be Batard, which gives one the complete fine dining experience. Dr. K
Went for my wife’s birthday and we were very happy with our experience. Food was prepared and presented wonderfully. Service was excellent with an appropriate level of attention. All in all it was a great night out!
Nice dinner but nothing exceptional and definitely a bit overpriced. Not sure it’s worth the Michelin Star.

The food was delicious, beautifully presented, but lacked something…Service was very good, but rather stiff especially since the restaurant has a relaxed feel. The ambiance is somewhat hip, but one-dimensional: it seemed unfinished. The wine list is out-of-this-world! Largest, most extensive we’ve seen. Would recommend with those comments.
