Boathouse Restaurant - New Westminster

Dine out vancouver 2023 #5 my friend and I had a nice long walk at the boardwalk a few days ago, beautiful sunset, trace of the moment, we fell into the boathouse for an early dinner to relax and enjoy. the beautiful sunset, it is not to do on weekday, only few pills occupied, very casual with water front view dinning, beautiful to see them in dine from vancouver for $65 and it is three cur dinner

Unfortunately we only had the opportunity to go to breakfast, but the staff was very nice and the food was well prepared. next time we come to dinner.

Eating was decent, not great, not bad. the service was slow, however, it took a while to arrive for my dinner. the server did her best, but the kitchen seemed to be slow. it was moderately busy. during my stay in the city I have eaten the rest of my meal elsewhere.

We booked a table for 7 for my husband's birthday... To say we had a bad experience it is mild to put. We have often been to The Boathouse in Richmond and enjoyed it in the past. Unfortunately, it's closed, which is why we came to New Westminster. This situation was an opposite experience. The food came out so late. The waiter told us that he put the order right away and that he was not sure why the foods are only cooked now. He came to our table to tell us before we even asked! He said he'll see if he can get us a discount. And when the food finally arrived, it was just meh. We were not impressed! Fish and chips my friend ordered, she ate only a small part and said she doesn't want to take it home the rest. My husband and I decided to order the stock plate that was such a waste of money. The crab diver tasted. The whole court was badly joined! They say 3-4ppl can share!!! What? Needless to say, we're not going back.

Waiter was friendly when around. He had trouble taking our order especially as it was a birthday and my wife had a free chowder from booking on line. forgot free desert was to be given to my step-daughter until our order was complete. as a...result our orders were wrong when arrived. My steak was impossible to cut or eat and so they replaced it with one less than half the size of the oriainal Dessert were screwed up and we had things delivered to our table meant for other tables. These were not delivered by our waiter as he was invisible till he came and was super friendly at the end. THe $16 add-ons were miniature and therefor a complete rip-off.
