Ruzzo - New Romney

We tried here for the first time and the foid was lovely, me my partner and son each had a pizza all very happy. But.... When a week later me and my partner desided to try something different we discovered a minimum spend had been imposed of just under £50 and our items only would have cost £35 so we desided against ordering. As some have said prices are a little high but the quality is worth it just not being forced to order more by having said minimum spend.

The restaurant should not be called Italian. They served overcooked pasta with the same under-cooked tasteless tomato sauce. The bolognese sauce was off, probably was cooked several days before. The starters are overpriced, very tiny portions with no real Italian taste at all, the cheapest ingredients available from retail were served as antipasto. The service was not bad although they employ underpayed teenagers young adults. Very disappointed as Google reviews are unreasonably high.

What a delightful place the service was great and the food was tasty, we educated them on how to make a Negroni and it was good definitely worth a visit if you are nearby !! Greeted at the door by staff and directed to a table. On recommendations from a co worker I ordered the Carbonara El Forno and a pizza. Food arrived hot and ready with the server offering real parmigiana cheese for each dish. The El Forno was lightly crisped and brown on top followed underneath by a thick white sauce with crispy pancetta and chicken that blended well with the pasta. The pepperoni pizza was too thin and crispy that held up. Flavours with both dishes was very good but we had no room for dessert.

A very nice Italian restaurant, the food is great the staff efficient and pleasant. So glad that this restaurant is very local for me. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30
