I visited this restaurant on a Friday morning and found it to be busy, but we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table for 4. The ambiance had a diner feel to it, which wasn't too bad.
The service was friendly, the food was good and there were plenty of options to choose from. I visited on a weekday for a late lunch and despite the good crowd, we were seated promptly.
I have been coming for years – always I am in new paltz – but I must admit that it is not so great. safe are the rock 'n’ roll decor and the vibe fun, but eating is just meh, and the vegan options are limited. I finally realized that I loved this place, mainly it became the only game in the city, but now there are many better options for vegan in new paltz. I'm not sure I'm back. there are many non-vegan vegetarian options, such as an old-school veggie place when that is her ass.
I wanted to try this place for some time because they have some vegan options, including vegan breakfast! the atmosphere is very sweet, but very busy, so the waiting period was longer. it is a popular place! the coworker who waited for me was very aware of vegan nutrition restrictions, even me from the morningstar breakfast they had (it is vegetarian, not vegan! we have the Tofu Scrambble and a "tofu Today" sandwich. The Tofu Scrambble was not discarded at all, but blocks of unseasoned baked tofu served with vegetables and hashbrowns. the texture was good, but not what they expect with a scramble! the sandwich also had a large piece of unseasonally baked tofu for the main protein. both were served with fresh, delicious vegetables. overall decent options and good experience, but probably is not somewhere I would go on myself as a vegan and instead go somewhere with omnivorous friends. B-Side Grill is over the street and has better options, including a real tofu scramble updated by previous review on 2022-05-15
