The Green Room Kukhnya - New Orleans

Y’all this place is BUSSIN. this may be v controversial but imo this the best restaurant in Nola. There is love in the food. Everything is always super fresh and comes out fast and the vibes r immaculate. The lady who bartends, idk her name but she SLAYS. and I love the music and the pretty winter wonderland pictures they put on the tv. I hope everyone who works there is having a great day.

I gave this place only 4 stars because it was not a white tablecloth and napkins. The other Russian restaurants I remember are the Russian Tea Room and the Russian Samovar in NYC. Both of these were rather fancy. But this place almost fits a dive bar definition. But the food was amazingly good. We had deviled eggs with caviar on top and a carrot slaw. My daughter in law had a chicken cutlet dish on asparagus with a potato salad. My son had a Reuben with a large side order offrench fries. Both were happy with their choices. I had a stuffed cabbage leaves with meat and barley topped with a tomato sauce. And an order of perogies. All very good. I had a Russian Vodka, my only disappointment was it was not servedice cold. Finally on leaving I got a pint of soup with meat walnuts etc. It was frozen and I plan to have it later in the week. I recommend it highly but it is a dive bar so be warned. See the pics.

I?m a Polish girl from Chicago ,my son brought me to dine for Mother?s Day , for I?ve been just dieing for this authenticity for too long. Let me tell you , I was beyond pleased!! I started with the beets/ greens, that alone I could just live on it was so amazing! And the Slavic platter was just like I was back in my babushka kitchen it brought a tear to my eye????. The atmosphere was so relaxing so chill. The staff seamed short handed yet handled every with grace kindness! I will most definitely be counting the days till I come back try the rest of the menu???????? Anyway, thank you for making my Mother?s Day meal unforgettable!! God Bless you all.

Really great service, felt welcomed here during a traveling delay. The food and service definitely helped boost my mood. Will come by when I’m back in the area.

Great food, haven't had that good of a pierogi in years. I'm not a vodka drinker but the bartender suggested one that had a blade of grass in the bottle. Had a lot of flavor. Definitely going back.
