Taqueria Corona - New Orleans

I would give this meal zero stars if I could. The steak and chicken in the tacos were dry and overcooked with poor seasoning, and they were lacking any fixings, not even cilantro. The burrito consisted only of canned beans. All of the salsas were watered down. Considering the price of the meal, this was unacceptable and shameful. I am requesting a refund. I should have given cooking recommendations instead of a tip for the staff. I wouldn't even feed that food to a dog.

I gave this restaurant 4 stars because the first question they asked was if we had proof of vaccination. We were able to order our food to go and stand at the hostess/register station just inside the door. The food was freshly prepared in front of us. The taco salad was simple and delicious, with the lettuce being the best part. The California burrito was unexpectedly huge and worth every bite. The prices were reasonable, but you have to order chips and salsa separately. The frozen margaritas were also very good.

I have been dining at this restaurant since before Hurricane Katrina, and the food and margaritas are still outstanding. Today, my visit after a few years left me impressed by the excellent service and delicious food. One thing to note is that the California Burrito is incredibly large, enough to satisfy two hungry adults. The only downside was a slight sewer-like smell near the front door, most likely coming from outside, given that it's New Orleans.

Our favorite restaurant! Taqueria Corona continues to prepare for the freshest and most delicious dishes of its kind in the city! It is home to New Orleans' original and still the best tasting fish taco, wonderful shrimp tacos and flaautas, fresh and tasty salsa, and a flan you want to always order dessert! As usual we had a great experience today!

I don't think this is a well-known place, but it's worth it! Food is great! The service was great.
