Mais Arepas - New Orleans

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The food is exceptional. From the taste to the presentation, it was one of the best things I?ve had in New Orleans. The food is authentic to Colombia. The staff was kind, attentive and went out of their way to let us know it was last call for lunch. The bartender left his area and kindly offered to make us additional beverages before he shut down the bar. Even our walking tour guide host recommended this restaurant because she said loved it.Also there is a Banksy (art) across from the restaurant.

I've been wanting to eat here for over a year, and it was well worth the wait! We had to sit at the bar because no tables were available. I have to say that I've never been so entertained sitting at a bar. The two handsome bartenders were friendly and helpful, mixing drinks in perfect sync to the Latin music in the background! I absolutely loved the vibe of this place! We tried the street corn which was super delicious. I would definitely order that on every visit there!The flank steak was seasoned well and very delicious. We also ordered the mini arepa sampler which we enjoyed! We can't wait to return!!!

BEYOND delicious!!! Food and service were amazing. sitting at the bar and watching all the different and freshly pressed drinks they were making was a great time. Highly Recommended for anyone thinking of trying it out.

The fried pork belly is absolutely delicious. It's also very necessary to get the street corn appetizer. I love the plantain chips that come as a side, as well.

Love the food and drinks! The staff is very nice. Wish the place had more seating and parking. Definitely recommend call ahead for a reservation.
