Gourmet Home Cuisine - New Milford

I celebrated my birthday at the establishment in new Milford rather than the one I was more familiar with in Hackensack due to it being closed for that particular date 2/11/23. Myself along with four of my sisters enjoyed everything from the service to the food which was in all of our opinions delicious. With all that being said there was one thing that diminishes it all . After having our dinner the staff cut the birthday cake that we brought and literally STOLE ALL THE TOPPINGS AND HALF OF THE CAKE . We didn’t realize until we left because they packed the cake after giving us just slithers of it so we wouldn’t realize so much was missing. Not sure how this established wants to be recognized after something so tragic happing, but someone needs to make this right . The cake was expensive and deserved to be shared by the people that purchased it. Money was stolen from the pockets of my sisters for my birthday and I’m appalled at such behaviors from your staff . I’m not sure if you guys take your reviews serious but we need some sort of compensation for what happened at your establishment . Also be clear this was not a one man job a few of the workers had to partake in such vile behavior . If you want to make it right you can respond to the review if not hopefully others can see this an make a clear decision on whether they want to dine at your establishment.

I have visited this cafe a few times and yesterday was the worst. Service was minimal, steak was overcooked with no flavor on a sandwich and despite it being my brother's birthday, I had to wave a waitress down to get dessert. Real disappointed. Won't recommend anyone there again.

Great food and service. We took my daughter and her husband. My wife had the pulled pork and took half home there was so much. She loved it. I had the sirloin steak. It was breaded with an orange sauce. Onions and limes on the side. It was very good. My daughter and her husband both ordered the skirt steak, cooked to medium the both enjoyed it , it’s there go to meal . We all shared some empanadas. Two ground beef and two chicken. I wish we ordered more. I could make a meal with them. I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great meal. Server was there at the right time checking on us and refilling our beverages.

Not busy the time we arrived. Was seated in an area that looked similar to a porch. At first attentive service but after meal was served, became less so. Waiter returned to table to question if all was OK after 1/2 of the meal was eaten. Sangria topped off the meal. Pork was a reasonable serving and was tasty with ample lime and red onion as an accompaniment. Note that there is nothing else on the table bread until entrée is served. Did enjoy our meal; fried pork, plantains and beans of choice; mine red, husband 's black. A little pricy but price must be considered with regards to post Covid and inflation. Traveling from out of state and saw their website; would return.

Great tasting food and drinks. Love the restaurant and the environment, they also have an outside seating. There is valet parking, street parking is hard to find
