A small place with a lot of atmosphere, great drinks and everything from jam sessions to small bands that play every week! Drinks are cheap, and the coverage of the cost for paid events are also appropriate, but there are also many free events happening! all of my experience were friendly and spiritual! check the website of café9 for their complete list of events!

Great drinks, not too pricey. Live music is beautiful. Friendly staff to serve. Small place but was'nt too crowded on a saturday around 4pm.

Always catch great bands here, cool atmosphere and reasonably priced beers with a decent selection. Always a fun time.

Small rustic bar with art on the walls gives an intimate aura with the musical artists.

We had a lot of fun here! The night we went there was a jazz band, a folk'ish group, and a rock band that were all fun to listen to. Drinks were well made and bartender service was excellent. Because you can bring food in, it was a great place to take New Haven pizza to eat while listening to music. Downsides were that it was very hot inside most of the time, and one of the bands was easy too loud for that smaller space. I'd give a 4.5 if I could.
