Bidrage med feedback(After a bad luck day of delays while driving) we arrived exhausted and hungry in Podersdorf. We walked into the restaurant just before nine o'clock and were completely ignored by wait staff. We finally sent one of the children to ask for service and were told in no uncertain terms that the kitchen closed at nine. We were then rudely asked what we wanted to drink. I don't mind a kitchen closing on time, but the rudeness got to me. Both of us have worked years in bars and restaurants and know always to be very polite and understanding so I don't think we elicited this treatment.
Located directly next to the lake, food was good, but the service was under the expectations from a place like this - slow and not friendly.
If you happen to be in Podersdorf am See then make a break in this place. The owner and the employee are friendly and doing their best to make things comfortable to the customers.Enjoy a drinking break with wide selection of winery in the terrace of the restaurant or if it is the eating time take a risk to order your food. The food was served fast and was tasting well, I did not like the mixed salad which was served in a very sweet dressing (the so called Viennese dressing).
After a walk by the lake, we found this charming place near the famous landmark the lighthouse, and had tipical austrian lunch. Wienershnitzel mit kartofel ...etc.
The place is nice, clean and on a great location right next to the lake. The service was slow and the staff refused to speak English (lack of language skills?), but they were helpful and polite otherwise. The food was not as good as one would expect from this kind of establishment. It was not bad, but nothing special either.
