O'Delice - Neufchâtel-Hardelot

This was a last minute to find, as we arrived only in France and the hotel restaurant was completely booked. We were so happy with this discovery! The waiter was pleasant and helpful, he explained everything. The starters were nicely served on long boards. So delicious,...a lot of dips etc. For the main we chose fish. Well presented and delicious. Many things have spicy clothes. Potatoes with butter and garlic. Nice desserts. Wine was excellent. I realized how much I missed the French food!

What an amazing find! We had a wonderful 3 course meal here in a very tranquil and easy going atmosphere. Pity we do not live closer, I would love to eat here again. And bring all my friends to experience this great place.

Dinner was awful. Had the foie gras which was bland, needed much more seasoning, and dressed with what tasted like strawberry jam instead of the usual caramelised onion. My main was a magret de canard, which was massive and therefore when cooked was really tough...and frankly overcooked. Could also have been seasoned better. My wife described it as a rubber bath toy. Service just as bad as we entered without offering any assistance for our buggy, plonked us near the toilets. Terrible experience. Would NOT recommend.

We were, very sadly, nervous about booking because of a couple of bad reviews. Don’t make our mistake! Hardelot is quiet at the moment so assumed we’d be ok last minute. It is fully booked for tomorrow and I am really cross we didn’t ignore...the critics and book (it’s my birthday tomorrow! We got in tonight, and the food was delicious ! Really good! Well thought out and well cooked. And the wine menu was interesting and good value. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, with staff that were running around so very very busily but still seemed to be smiling beneath their masks.

Very busy restaurant but with efficient and helpful service. Fish particularly good, well presented and vert tasty. Desserts attractive and tasty too. I feel it is a very good value restaurant. Essential to book.
