We stayed with three people on 8.1.2016 for dinner. In advance we had ordered a 5-course surprise menu. In short, we were very excited!! 1st Gang Ruccola Salad with Lachsterrine 2nd Gang Pumpkin Soup 3. Gang Zander on Lauchgemüse 4. Gang Hubertus-Pfanne (Hirsch- und Rehsteak mit Birne und Preiselbeeren mit Brokkoli und Spätzle auf Championrahmsauce) 5. The service was very good and attentive. Also a good white wine u7nd the evening was perfect. We like to come back.

General mutated geese without chest and wing, but with 4 legs!!! In the newspaper offer Whole goose for 4 persons incl. 1 bottle of red wine we have reserved a table for 12 people. Unfortunately, two people had to cancel the disease, then we were 10 people, 8 people decided to eat the already reserved geese. Before we recommended a field salad very well, with the exception of the predominantly superficial bacon cubes. Everything was good. Operation The service was unfortunately overwhelmed with the rumor of pre-Christmas food! The food mutated geese without chest and wing, but with 4 legs!!! At the main dish came for me the catastrophe: finished red cabbage, served without further spices, plus lumps and any brown sauce. The greatest madness followed: A mutated goose, without breast meat, without wings, The Corpus, a flu, pressed into a round enameled form with two handles. This poor animal had no wings, but there were 4 lapels with their feet around the body. Deeply buried there were some Marone and more or less baked apples. The whole thing decorated with a little green! The skin and everything else was unstable and soft! I rarely saw or ate an inconspicuous meal! These poor geese would have been better bought alive and given them freedom in a good attitude! For me: Gänseessen im Waldhaus Lahnquelle, never again! The ambience in the dining room is very beautiful, in the halls and in the stairs you should clean up! Cleanliness All right!

When you are sent to an allegedly free table where there is still a family that is almost forced to stand up, it is embarrassing. Undoubtedly it was very crowded in the restaurant this afternoon and when you finally had room, it worked very well with the service. The ambience is typical of such a house and has not led to criticism, especially because it was very clean despite good use. The food was moderate. The deer medal did not eat my wife and I was not excited to try the deer was plentiful. The meat on my grill was partly/part. The Rumpsteak was pink and tasted very well, except the sauce poured over it. The pig was mostly back) was too dry. As a supplement, my wife had blows and I had a foil potato. Finally, the price/performance ratio was correct.
