El Charro - Neosho

My wife and I loved this restaurant many years ago but that fire has definitely faded. At every dine in visit or dine out order the quality drops more and more. My wife ordered a fajita salad that she requested chicken and a few pieces of shrimp on the side. Not sure if the portions are smaller for a reason or if this is just becoming a norm for this place. The chicken was extremely minimal but the shrimp was correct. However this has gotten to the point where it has now passed unsatisfactory. The second dinner that was supposed to be 2 cheese and 1 beef enchilada w/ rice and beans. Easy enough right? WRONG. What I received was 3 beef enchiladas, no beans but did get a double portion of rice. It appears that the overage of rice was supposed to be in lieu of the beans maybe, not sure as I wasn 't informed of any issues or concerns. I know this all sounds minimal but it has become the norm and almost laughingly What are we missing this time? . It 's almost like when giving the order the person taking it just tries to get CLOSE to what we order but no guarantees on getting a correct order. We are to the point where it is a waste of time to even call in the error because it seems to fall on deaf ears. Maybe if I post publicly again, someone with some weight in the game will make an effort to reverse this downward spiral and bring it back to what it was 5 years ago.

Lots of choices and great tasting food. Waiter didn't offer to fill my tea glass but service was good

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Couldn't even choke down a taco. It was horrible! Spit the rice out wouldn't even dare to try the beans. The enchilada was the smallest I have ever seen and was awful 1 bite, and that was all I could manage. Sweet tea was the only thing good. Salsa very bland and cheese dip was just cheese. I will never return here.Told the waiter. He just gave me a blank look and cleared away the dishes. I will starve before I ever go back. Taco bell has better food!!!

Drove 30 minutes for them to say they were closed when the door and Google clearly stated that they were open until 11. Arrived at 10:10.
