Stoney Creek Grill - Nellysford

Very friendly atmosphere, good food and beautiful scenery. Especially great in the warm weather when you can eat outside.

We had brunch here and the food was alright, it is one of the only brunch places in the area. We just stood there until someone noticed us to seat us and they didn't seem very prepared for customers. Overall the dining experience was fine and the mimosas were great.

Such a lovely venue with some of the best views in the Rockfish Valley. As a resident of Stoney Creek at Wintergreen Resort, I just wish management would put more of an investment into this club house and restaurant. The inside of the restaurant smells musty and moldy. At least buy a blender for the bar. A couple of weeks ago, my wife ordered a virgin pina ' colada, and our waitress came back to tell us the bar could not make it because they did not have a blender. Go figure, how can a bar call itself a bar when they don 't have a blender to make cold slushy drinks when it 's 100 degrees outside. When we first started coming here in the early to mid eighties this was one of the few games in town, and you really had to fight for reservations. Last night, on a Saturday, we were one of three or four tables in the restaurant. Sometimes the kitchen can be spotty. Last night I had a ribeye steak, a little on the tough side, not much flavor, accompanied by a chimichurri sauce that was very disappointing: mostly oil with parsley, no red wine vinegar, garlic, shallots, cilantro, salt, oregano, or pepper that I could taste. My salad was okay but I could make it better at home. Best part of dinner was sitting out on the patio with neighbors and friends watching the sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Other dining experiences here have been delightful and superbly prepared. Last night, not so much.

Website says open, arrived and everything was locked. Called and voice message shares place has been closed since October. Should update hours of business for those traveling and not familiar with the area/seasons of establishments
