Bidrage med feedbackTotal 5 star experience. Gorgeous grounds. We ate a late lunch and then hiked there with our pup. Very dog friendly! David was amazingly helpful in showing us around and getting us to the trailhead. He is a true asset.
Been here 4 times for dinner after golf and unfortunately it's gotten worse each time. On our most recent visit it took 35 mins to get appetizers, which were not edible. Burgers were overcooked, crab cakes from Aldo's menu were like burnt little pancakes, nachos appeared to have been sitting for quite some time. The shishito peppers were still raw and flavorless. When food was brought out, the waiter never brought forks or napkins. When we asked for napkins and forks, the waiter disappeared for quite some time, despite 3 other waiters coming out to bus and prep the table nearby. I asked if the president was coming as they seemed more focused on an empty table than ours. We finally went inside and got silverware and napkins ourselves. A waiter then came and asked how we were doing, and we replied that honestly the food was terrible and the service wasn't much better. The manager then came out and apologized and was very nice and then offered us dessert to make up for it. We indicated we really just wanted an edible dinner and some silverware. We ended up going to the Qwik Trip for a frozen pizza.I can understand being understaffed, but the food has really gone down hill. If you can't keep up, eliminate items from your menu. Do a burger, a chicken sandwich, a couple flatbreads, some fish tacos, and couple salads/bowls and call it a day.Simplify the concept have folks order drinks and food from a window and simply have a food runner. Having table service isnt good if the service sucks. This is a beautiful facility at a higher end golf course with seemingly affluent customer base. The food shouldn't be this bad. Offer a good burger, not a dry puck. Bring the nachos out when they're still hot. And ask your waiters to walk with a bit of urgency. When you've been waiting 35 mins for an appetizer and they stroll out of the kitchen in slow motion, it's not a good look.We used to enjoy eating here after golf but I think we'll just stick to drinks, which it seems is what they want.
Food was excellent. OF wonderful. Margaritas not so great, served in an OF glass and very watered down.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu.
Best place to eat in the area. It is pricey bit well worth it. Loved the food and the atmosphere. Plenty of seating options to choose from outside patio, covered porch, indoor dining, and bar area. Big portions and great service.Kid friendliness: Kids menu available and plenty of games outside to play while parents are enjoying their dinner and refreshments.
I don't golf, but I love coming here. It's located on the Sand Valley property. This bar is much more upscale than any other pub in the area. That's not saying much, as most of the local gin joints are total dives. Don't get me wrong, I love a good dive bar. But, when you want to wear a shirt with buttons, sleeves, and a collar, come here. The cool thing is, the prices are very reasonable. You can eat at the bar, which is what we did. Out bartender (Matt) was fantastic. He was super knowledgeable about the wine and bourbon. You can order food from both the Mammoth menu and Aldo, which is right next door. The cheese curds are fantastic. The nachos, burgers, and salads are no slouches, either. Lots of fresh ingredients!Give it a whirl. It's a nice getaway from the fried food establishments that seem to make up most of its neighbors.
