Pancho's Taqueria - Needham

Panchos is my all time favorite mexican restaurant. You cant beat it. Their carnitas is just... chefs kiss. You get anything with carnitas and their hot salsa and you cannot go wrong.

This was by far the worst meal I've ever had! The red enchilada with barbacoa tasted like pizza sauce topped with parmesan and was filled with some sort of canned, unappetizing shredded meat. The side of rice was bland and had a starchy texture, as if it were over a week old, while the black beans were undercooked and also starchy. It was truly the most disappointing meal I've experienced. The margarita was tasty, but I suspect it had no alcohol in it at all! It felt like such a waste of money. I even tried feeding the meat to my dog, and she threw it up twice. I'm grateful I only managed to take one bite! The cemita wasn't any better—just a huge bun stuffed with more of that strange meat. I wouldn't even give this place one star. The waitress never returned to check on us! The outdoor seating was nice, but the tables were dirty.

My review isn't focused on the taste or quality of the ingredients. I ordered a burrito and it turned out to be more like soup wrapped in a flour tortilla. There was so much liquid that it completely soaked through the tortilla, causing it to fall apart. I've ordered from other places that double wrap their burritos, and after a 45-60 minute drive home, they're just as good as if I'd eaten them immediately. Unfortunately, this burrito didn't hold up for even 10 minutes. I've learned my lesson and will stick to ordering the plate next time. While the prices are great, it doesn’t excuse the inexperience of the staff preparing the burritos.

A must-visit! The place is very clean and features TVs for watching and a small bar area. They promote live music on weekends, which is a nice touch. I tried the pork burrito, and it was excellent!

It's a great place to dine!
