The mac and the cheese have cracker in it, the caesar salat has mozzarella sticks in it. the lamb was renamed and not even heated. to suspect that this is a raised steakhouse is an absolute sweat. there was a type of $350 beef meat on the menu and I can not believe that someone would think that these cooks are worthy to prepare an ingredient that costly on the basis of the food I had. don't come here. absolutely terrible way to finish my 10-year anniversary.
The size of the portion against the cost is a problem for me. excellent eating; I think it's ridiculous how high end restaurants calculate for what a very small bit of eating. that said, nice restaurant, eating was very well done. I doubt I'd go back.
We had reservations at 6:30 because we were going to see the John Mulaney show at 8pm. We were seated at 6:40 after having a drink at the bar, and told our server right away that we had tickets to the show and needed to be done in time to get to our seats. We ordered within 10 minutes of being seated, and our drinks and Parker House rolls were brought out right away. We then proceeded to wait almost a full hour for the rest of our meal, which was just two steaks and a side of Brussels sprouts. We ate as quickly as possible so that we could get to our show in time, but it was very frustrating to sit and wait without the waiter coming to check in. The steaks were fine, but way overpriced for what they are. The Brussels were extremely underdone, almost inedible. Definitely will not be going back.
The marrow appetizer was unusual, with tender beef on the bread under the marrow, it was great. The skillet cornbread was light and delicious. We each had the 7 oz. Filet, a smidgeon over cooked but tender an flavorful. We ordered the mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and mushroom bolognese as sides. All were delicious. There was a problem with one of these, which we pointed out to the manager, Jordon, who was overly generous in adjusting our bill. The service was perfectly timed and unobtrusive, just perfect. My son in law and I were celebrating his MBA graduation and both were impressed with this restaurant. I will be back.
