Grandaddy's Original Hot Chicken Shack

We really enjoyed our visit to Granddaddy's--our first time and the first stop on our hot chicken tour of Nashville. The chicken sandwiches were great, perfectly cooked and well spiced. The mild still had a respectable touch of heat and the hot was definitely hot but not too much to handle. The fried okra was fun--whole pickled okras, which added a nice bite of vinegar. Hot Chicken Sandwich with fries is a must grab. Chicken is juicy and the spice is sooooooo nice. Not overwhelming and balanced. Just enuf heat tho to remind you are eating a Nashville tradition. Seriously so good!

Amazing chicken sandwich and fried okra. The breading was perfect and the service was great. Inside is small and she was more than happy to move some things around for our group of 6. I would show a picture but I ate it to fast.

Friendly staff, AWESOME FOOD and well worth your time to find if you are anywhere around this joint. Bravo!!

My brother and I are in town visiting family and we were on the hunt for some great hot chicken and grandaddy himself was there to deliver the goods and to keep us company as we enjoyed his fantastic food. It was our first time eating there, but we'll certainly be coming back next time we're in town.
