Bidrage med feedbackI was told this place closed down. I've been wanting to try the fruit tea and chicken. I will need to drive by and check out if they are still in business.
It's not Helen's Hot Chicken, new name is Fire Cracker Chicken. Not bad, my wife had mild and mine was a little hotter, both good. Came with one side, pickles, bread and a drink. Interior of the restaurant is very basic.
If I were basing solely on food, I would put them at 3.5 (c'mon Yelp, give half stars! but the service rockets them right on up to a 5. They are actually closed on Tuesdays (random, right? but when we called to try placing a big order for a Tuesday staff meeting an employee (or likely manager offered to come in on a Tuesday to take care of us and to make sure we got some hot chicken for our meeting! You just don't get service like that these days. Mt. Juliet and surrounding areas need to get behind this place and give them a fair shot in their bad location.
At the end of July we were traveling through, and we were looking for a unique place to eat. This place came highly recommended from one of the ladies at Sugar Peas, so we just HAD to try it! We are soooo happy we did! My daughters and I loved our chicken from Helen's Hot Chicken!!! We would love to have one of these in RUSSELLVILLE, ARKANSAS!!! It would be great right next to Arkansas Tech University!
I've been eating here at least once a week since they opened. Their Chicken fish are awesome! If you want it really hot, ask for it. I love hot food these guys never disappoint.
