Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped in one week night for cocktails before dinner rez elsewhere. Sat at the bar. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Their dirty vodka martinis and espresso martinis were very good and not a rip off. Also enjoyed the music they played from vinyl records. Our daughter has also had great experience here for dinner with her friends and said it was excellent. Think we 'll also try dinner here next time we are visiting Nashville. Service: 5
Rip-off establishment with INTENTIONALLY shady and misleading pricing. Their menu lists all of their spirits, including whiskeys and their respective prices. When the check came, nearly everything we were drinking was TWICE THE PRICE as was listed on the menu. The bartender said that the prices for spirits are by the ounce—but that they do 2oz pours. IF THAT’S THE CASE, SAY SO ON THE MENU. OR HAVE THE BARTENDER CLARIFY IT. DON’T JUST LIST SOMETHING FOR HALF THE PRICE THAT YOU’RE *ACTUALLY* GOING TO CHARGE LATER. It would be one thing if the menu SAID they actually pour you 2 oz, or even say that it’s an OPTION, or if the bartender ASKED if you wanted a 2oz pour instead of 1, or if the menu LISTED THE PRICE of what the bartender was ACTUALLY POURING the ENTIRE time. But no, NONE of those things. Clearly Bastion needs lessons in listing menu prices from the countless other bars restaurants that are actually *honest and up front* with their pricing. In sun, this place went from *appearing* like a good alternative/hipster Wedgewood Houston bar with ok prices to *actually* being a complete rip-off—such as how a SINGLE ACTUAL pour of Wild Turkey 101 Rye cost $12, not $6. A SINGLE ACTUAL pour of EH Taylor was $16, not $8. And this was all BEFORE tax and tip. At the end of the day, it was $86 for 5 drinks when it should have been significantly less—according to THEIR actual listed prices. Never again. We don’t deal with misleading crooks.
Absolutely perfect spot and great value for getting away from the strip. The surrounding area for a pre-dinner or after-dinner drink is also great. Couldn’t have asked for much more! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Fine dining in an unusual industrial style venue. The whole experience is fabulous, from the hidden entrance, the uptempo buzz and the quality of the welcome. The food is amazing -a tasting menu easily on a level with contemporary European cooking which is a rare thing in the US. Give it a try if you can get a reservation.
