Bidrage med feedbackWhat a beautiful place for a sunny winter's day lunch. The setting, food and wine were superb. Great hospitality, will definitely be back.
Second visit, this time with friends who are not on the same diet regime as us, we all agreed, this place is just fantastic, all the food was superb , with nice flavours and little nuances.Started with some home made crackers and lovely dip of...More
Rosie and Ian are absolutely delightful at this little hidden away gem. Fantastic food- we loved the rabbit ragu and pear and coriander cake....great value too for absolutely quality food made with love. We had our desserts down by the pond, which was brought to us and took in the fabulous view. The Pinot noir is to die for and the Rose and Reisling also lovely. Will most definitely be back. Just 35-40 minute drive from Albany. Worth every km, even if I had to walk there. ❤️
A little Gem in the Porongurups, just outside of Mt Barker, worth the drive. This Winery Cafe open Fri,Sat & Sunday for lunch, ring ahead to ensure they are not away on holidays in winter.Lovely rustic building, once the home to monks has been transformed into a delightful cafe. with inside and outside seating. While the menu is small, the meal we had backed up our instincts that this was a place worth trying out.We are both vegan and although there was nothing on the menu that was 100% vegan compliant, the cook managed to put together the most awesome vegan salad platter, fit for a king and very generous in scope & size, and at a price where we felt we were robbing them.Great views of ranges from the verandah tables, suitable to slowly wile away the hours while enjoying great food and wine. The cook describes herself as a passionate foodie & cook, and the meals produced back this up, would highly recommend this for anyone wanting an excellent relaxed and enjoyable meal at a fair price.
Seemingly out of nowhere springs this tranquil and inviting spot where we spent a wonderfully relaxed couple of hours tasting the range of wines and eating a beautifully put together platter for lunch whilst overlooking the great view. Our hosts were so warm and friendly, the table beautifully set, and the food excellent. This winery has a good range of wines and we especially enjoyed the Rieslings and the Pinot noir..... we bought a mixed dozen with a few extras to have with dinner!
