A fantastic way to support local farmers while feeding your family! The Farmer's Market, located just south of downtown Napa, offers a wide selection of fresh, seasonal produce (all natural, of course!) from California’s constantly improving agricultural scene. Many vendors provide organic options, but not all, so be sure to look for certification marks if that’s important to you. You’ll find a surprisingly large number of meat and dairy producers, as well as non-food vendors; these are mainly grouped on the outer edges of the market, making it easy to avoid if you prefer. Don't miss out on the food trucks—try the vegan jackfruit tacos available right on-site or just to the east! There’s also a vegan-friendly Thai restaurant and other eateries sharing the same parking lot, plus a movie theater if you want to make a day of it! The market is open from spring to fall on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, with plenty of parking available. UPDATE: As of September 2018, they've announced they will also open on Saturdays during the winter. The last Tuesday before the winter break will be Thanksgiving week. The prices are a bit high; I paid $4 for a pear! However, there are also many excellent items that are reasonably priced.
