Bidrage med feedbackWe booked a table for 2 people at 7:30. We arrived around 7:40 and no free table. The boss told us that it was necessary to wait for a table to be released and gave us the injunction to put us near the bar (very exigu) where 3 people were already, attached to a table of guests or to sit near the entrance (very exigus) facing a wall. We chose to wait, standing, near the entrance but very close to three tables occupied by people eating. What an intimacy for these people! Four other people who had also booked then entered and had to wait for a table to be released. We no longer knew where to place ourselves to do well... So we decided to give up our evening at Pol and went out of this unpleasant atmosphere! We were finally able to spend a pleasant evening in another restaurant in the region Chez Marinko Rupcic next to the L 'Eperon ride in Boncelles.
If for you restaurant is synonymous with pleasure, good times and if you like to be welcomed correctly, with a minimum of politeness and consideration, to know-how to live then completely flee this restaurant... whose patron is the perfect antithesis of the reception that can wait for a restaurant worthy of this name. No comment on food, we left the place before. Unpleasant location, or you embarrass the boss if you do not get to his request: wait for a table to be released and shut. We are a couple of pensioners, epicurean who likes to go to the restaurant regularly to spend a pleasant time there. On the recommendation of a friend, we booked a table on April 01 for 7:30. On April 01, it was cold and snowed from where warmly dressed and umbrella. From the entrance, to our left, a table with 4 guests and in front of the toilet with a table with 2 guests. We are waiting for us to come to welcome us... we are seen, but we are not coming. The waiting next to the table of 4 people who eat is totally unpleasant for everyone. Then the boss comes, I'll send him our reservation for 7:30. He answers me, yes, and then turns around, he keeps talking... following me...bar. We're waiting downstairs near the bar because he's gone. He reappeared to tell us to wait for a table to be free!!! I repeat to him that I reserved for 7:30. Answer you have to wait. I noticed that he could have asked to arrive for 8pm because there are two services. His answer: you can wait at the bar and if it's not going you can go above the table of six people to wait. I ask him how much more waiting. Answer 15 or 20 minutes or after 8:00. Hence the choice of horny between: the bar sharp and standing (sorry, we spent the age, or three people are already waiting by touching almost a person who eats, or the table of the top ...with the choice either the strapontin against the wall (difficult access or chairs facing the wall. And as no dressing room (if there is one, nothing has been proposed, we are always warmly dressed. We looked at my wife and I and in perfect agreement, we left this place or no longer put our feet. Fortunately in our address directory of known and appreciated restaurants, we were able to find a table and we had a nice evening.
We had booked a table in the lower part of the restaurant in order to avoid those near the entrance and the toilet, on our arrival the boss refused to honor our reservation for this table and offers only the tables that we wanted to avoid. We told him that in this case we were leaving, he made no effort to find a solution and let us go without even a start of excuses or explanations, I was rarely as badly received in a restaurant, especially by the boss! We were going to Pol regularly. The frame is nice and we eat well. When we arrived at 6:30, after an apero, an entrance and a dish, we wanted to take a little break before attacking the dessert. At 8:15, we're told that we need to release the table for 8:30 for a second service... We were planning to spend the evening there, it's really very very disappointing from a restaurant of this standing... We won't put our feet there anymore. To eat a meal at the va-vite, we still prefer to go to a fast-food... Besides, the boss kept complaining, there's really more fun as an atmosphere to relax!
We felt rushed during our meal and believe that all customers should receive equal treatment. If the menu is limited for a table arriving at 1:50 p.m., the same should apply for those arriving at 2 p.m./2:05 p.m. It was also disappointing to learn that the kitchen closed at 2:30 p.m., as we felt like we were being rushed out. Our bill came out to 48 euros for two meatballs, a vol-au-vent, and two soft drinks, which we found to be quite expensive at 21 euros per dish. This was our first and last visit to the restaurant, as the overall experience was not enjoyable. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
