Blue Ginger - Nanaimo

My cousin and I decided we were in the mood for sushi and headed to Nori around 6:00pmIt was packed and full of kids (ew.)

We had purchased a coupon for Blue Ginger so decided to give it a try, We both ordered a bento box for lunch.

Use to be a regular now the service is just terrible. You see your food sitting out for about 10 mins before they bring it out to you

I had heard fantastic things about this restaurant so decided to try it out for lunch. While the service was good the place was freezing cold. So cold that I kept my coat on. I don't know if this was because they had just opened. The food was marginal and over sauced. All in all I would not return. There are better places to eat.

My wife and I paid the Blue Ginger Restaurant after almost 2 years of absence! There are lots of similar Sushi restaurants now in our area. We live in the South End of the city so it's quite a drive for us to reach their place. Anyway, I got a 50% Off coupon from the mail ( Island Daily Deals)so I decided to give them a visit again. We ordered the Sushi Platter for just $24.99 which has 38 assorted Sushi and their wonton soup with baby bok-choy. It didn't take long for the order to arrive. It was very good, delicious and more than enough for the two us. Being senior citizens, we couldn't finish the sushi so I had to take some home. It's a great place to sample some real delicious Sushi!
