Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant is served by a talented chef who uses local products. the prices are reasonable, quality exception. also local weeping on the menu, which are again cheap and good quality. eating on the terrace with panoramic views improves the experience. wonderful
We have eaten on the shaded terrace of the logis’s restaurant with temperatures in the top 30s, but only the occasional wespe tries to destroy the peace of the environment, not exactly from the river, but close enough to hear the water! We enjoyed the experience we returned later in the week. at both locations we took a completely different 15 euro 3-course menu and were thrilled by the quality of the food (and they willingly substituted fish for my non-meat eating woman) and the great value for money. the personal was very pleasant and attentive.
The setting cannot be beaten directly beneath the beautiful Najac Fortress. That 's the end of the good part of the review. We were seated in the corner facing the wall with a half empty restaurant. When we asked to be moved they were surprised....As an English speaker 1st language I asked the waitress, 'parlez vous Anglaise? ' She answered, 'Non, pourqui? '. That was the start of an hilarious evening of observation of this very bizarre restaurant. Apparently our table was the only one served by what another reviewer described as Rosa Klebs. She had Jerry Seinfeld 'man hands ' that looked like they could ring our necks if we snickered at the wrong time. I had ordered a bottle of Bordeaux, which I had turned around to read the details. Rosa duely came over and glared at me for turning the bottle around. She then turned it around, label facing me and firmly placed it back on the table, with the implicit, 'if I catch you turning the bottle around again I 'll ....... . We ordered the 27 euro set meal, which was very disappointing. Recommend you skip the farcou. The meals came out at blistering pace, so we decided to try and slow the pace down a little. We left a scrap of food on my plate which I regularly played with when Rosa stormed by our table. I think she returned 10 tines to see the same scrap being toyed with. She knew what I was doing I was going to be in big trouble. We couldn 't eat the cheese at the end of the meal and Rosa wanted to know what was wrong with it and why we hadn 't eaten it. A really interesting approach to customer service. The food is very ordinary and it comes way too quickly (like they had a bus to catch). On top of this 'the atmosphere ' ..... it is deathly quiet. We thought our whispering across the table was going to bring an admonishment as it broke the absolute silence everyone had to endure. My wife tried to convince me that there actually was some music playing, but all I could hear was my tinnitus and the scraping of plates. I thought Rosa was going to come over and tell me to turn down my tinnitus. You 've got to wonder how restaurants like this can survive in France.
We lunched on the shaded terrace of the Logis's Restaurant with temperatures in the upper 30s but only the occasional wasp attempted to destroy the peace of the setting, not exactly by the banks of the river but near enough to hear the water! We...so enjoyed the experience that we returned later in the week. On both occasions we took a completely different 15 Euros 3-course set lunch menu and were delighted with the quality of the food (and they willingly substituted fish for my non-meat eating wife) and the great value for money. Service satisfaisant.
