Chaplin's at Muthu Newton - Nairn

Even though we received email and text reminders the night before, when we arrived at the hotel, we were informed that our reservation had not been confirmed and were denied entry into the restaurant. This was particularly disappointing as we had traveled a long way to celebrate my wife's birthday. The hotel staff did not assist us and the manager was too preoccupied to address our concerns or offer an apology in person. By 7:30 on a Saturday night, it was too late to find an alternate dining option. Due to this disappointing experience, we will not be patronizing this establishment or utilizing their services in the future.

I made a reservation and drove one hour to reach the restaurant, but to my dismay, they were not open. The staff treated me as if I were ignorant, despite showing them my reservation and an online confirmation that they were supposed to be open.

And I had dinner at this restaurant last night and we had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. We will definitely be coming back soon. Overall, highly recommend this place for a great dining experience.

I have been a customer at this restaurant for years, even before their renovation, and it has consistently impressed me each time I visit.

When you leave New York, you really start to miss the classic diner experience! I have been coming here for years and have never been let down.
