If they are a yogi, healer, therapeutic or simply nature lover. this place connects them to the elements of earth. water. space and wind. is 1.5 hours away from osaka. with train and bus and from beginning to end approx. 2 hours highly recommended for outdoor activities and meditation.
The size of the beauty of this place is rivaled only by the size of the training they go through them! a camee 48 waterfalls were a thing that I will never forget when I go after japan. my acceptance was that with 48 waterfalls they can not all be beautiful, but I was wrong! every waterfall was as sparkling and impressive as the last. the walk through the storm was exhaustingly steep and a bit uphill. it is definitiv a doable hike when they stand up for it. there were many older Japanese visitors who wandered through them, but japans citizens remain much more active than those I know in the states. the steep and lush green mountains are so dense that you do not see a spot jungle floor, only green until you see. the walk begins with a walk through a Salamander exhibition, which was very cool to see such great old reptiles. there are also beautiful bathrooms along the walk. when they are in the middle of a walk, they go here. if they have come to japan to be only in tokio and want to experience the nature that can offer japan, they go here!
Beautiful place to experience some of Kansai's wonderful nature. The paths are well-maintained and the waterfalls are gorgeous. Be sure to stop by some of the local restaurants and shops, the people in this area are very welcoming and friendly.
Gorgeous scenery and an easy to moderate hike made this the perfect day trip! Starting with the salamander center, the wildlife was abundant as well. There are tea houses along the trail but we opted to buy a bento from one of the local shops before entering the park. It was nice that we could then stop anywhere along the trail to eat lunch. The locals were very friendly!
