Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful relaxing atmosphere with excellent staff. Very nice presentation. But not good dishes. I ordered chickens Rossito, but the chicken wasn't delicious at all. Tomato juice was excellent.
We went to dinner last night and were warmly welcomed by the staff and sat in one of the two dinning rooms. Bread and herbal butter were served while we waited for our meal. We chose from the autumn menu, which included... a fresh salad with bacon and egg (Nuesli), Venison jewelry served with spaetzli, Brussels sprouts, steamed pear. This is a Swiss traditional autumn meal and it was very well prepared. We really enjoyed the evening. The price of the meal was normal, about 50 CHF/person (we share a large salad) including champagne, but no wine.
We found this place by chance as we drive in the area. The charm of the outside had us very quickly through the door. The building is simply beautiful and very traditional. The service is excellent and friendly. The waitress spoke excellent English. The best one was still coming. The food was just wonderful. An extensive menu that meant that all 5 of us found something to try, and all 5 of us enjoyed our choices very well best steak I ever had was heard at the table. The next time we're in the area, we're going to visit the Baeren... or maybe we'll just make a point in the area so we can eat in The Baeren.
Restaurant super beautiful and homely, service very nice, large portions and very tasty, we definitely come back.
The locality is beautiful, the staff very friendly, but we waited 1.5 hours for our eating, that was definitiw too long. we almost ran away. the served daughter has apologised several times, the chef did not consider it necessary to say something. to note that many other guests who got much later than we entered the restaurant that eat before us. our order was, by the way, from the current summer card, so no elaborate special request. Too bad, we're not going to go any more because it was the last time. The chef gave us apéro as an apéro excuse, but he didn't come by himself, leaving a strange impression.
