As the Swabian owner has told us, Thailand has been in Schwabing for almost 30 years, a little hidden in Hesseloherstraße, through which you would rarely drive. Parking is also bad here, so it is not surprising that we only become aware of the internet. The place is very small and partly very narrow. The device is no longer completely new. In particular, the corner benches make a very windy impression and crawl that a bit of fear and fear during setting or moving. Since the first visit it has become significantly worse. Here it is gluten-free and cooked with many fresh herbs. The Mai Tai (Cocktail) was recommended here as one of the best in Munich. Either he was different today or he's just not my taste here. Too sweet, too little alcohol. As an appetizer, I chose the Tom Kha Gai. A relatively large bowl, good amount of meat, mushrooms and herbs. Tastefully good average. The same applies to the saté shoots I was allowed to try. On the outside a bit crispy, but on the inside still very delicate and soft and a very good peanut tip. Also with 5 pieces a super serving. As a main dish I chose No. 57 Gae Pad Tua, lamb fillet with Thai green beans, lemon leaves and red curry sauce. Meat was too dry for my taste, otherwise good. Sharp, too. Beans are hot. The special curry I tried was also good, but the beef was pretty hard. The bird shot the number 30 Pad THAILAND for me. In many restaurants it is too dry and mild smells often boring. Not here. Fully juicy and perfectly seasoned. One of the best pads Thai I ate in Munich. Reason enough to visit this place several times. As an appetizer we chose the Toodman. I'm not thinking about it. Pad Thai from my accompaniment as the main dish was perfect again! I chose the Massaman Curry with chicken. It was okay, but it hardly reminded me of coconut and peanut, as the curry taste was very intense. And at the roasted beef end with vegetables, chopped ginger and peperoni, the meat was much too hard by me and unfortunately hard. We had bad luck with the cow every time. The salads on the map I feel too expensive for the size of the portion because it is very clear. Tastefully ok, personally too much acidity and too little sharpness. The surcharges you have to pay for a change are very high. Then it is better than described in the map. The service varies. In some visits especially beautiful and attentive and also very fast, then a few days where he was simply neutral. At the last visit over 1 hour waiting time alone on the appetizer. Not even an apology. The boss himself knew about the long waiting period and was present at the restaurant all the time. There wasn't even a message from her that it would take longer. 2x we asked when the food finally comes. I'm sorry or something. A thread-like reason: they also ordered an expensive starter (the mixing plate). It's ridiculous. My favorite appetizers (the fish cookies) were also out. Almost the entire appetizer board couldn't inspire me the day. WanTan was hard, the intestine was still in the shrimps. A little crisp. Spring rolls ok and Saté shoots very well. A total of 23 € I found too much for the part. The main dish ( chicken with Thai basil) was very good! Since I appreciate all visits together, it's enough for 3 stars. I have to say that with the long waiting time and NULL insight the boss has so excited me that I will not go back.
