Bidrage med feedbackI compel my criticism from two to three stars because I have come back too often, despite my complaints, to justify two stars. I really wanted to love Neto when I first say it in October. I really enjoy Mediterranean, the menu looked interesting, and the 2 AM Nah seemed very convenient for the nights if I could not come to dinner until 11:00. But my first attempts were not great. The first time I was for lunch, and the service was slow and confused. Neto was open for a few days, so I thought the time would change, and the food would make sure. I went for hummus with mushrooms, which I thought an Israeli restaurant would really do well. The hummus looked good, although the mushrooms were the soft and slender half moon type you see in cans (I hope this is just a coincidence). They were not terribly tasteful and the hummus was one of the worst I had (which includes most bought varieties). It was pasty and lacking taste. The Pita was doughy and chew. The portions were big, but that doesn't matter much if the food isn't very good. I ended up with the cinnamon pastry that was good, but it wasn't worth going to Neto. I made another attempt and got her mushroom Samboosak (conversion). The Samboosak conversion was a thick pita dish that covered the same mushrooms from the hummus with a mustard sauce. It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't that great either. It might have been better with something else inside, but the amount of dough in the Pita uses something overwhelming. I tried a chocolate croissant, which was ok (maybe pretty easy to make this delicious), but not great. The yogurt and the granola are overpriced and the granola is soggy, but the yogurt was at least thick, sharp and interesting. The prices are too high and the baked goods are too big (and expensive) to have with a meal, so it could be better to think about as a place to get dessert articles. I have Neto a few more tries since and have found that some things have improved and that there are some options I like. They seemed to have lowered prices and removed some of the confusing “add $2” notes next to salads. You have made some small improvements, such as adding pictures of everything that is beautiful. I appreciate that they have free Wi-Fi, its always busy, but never completely full, and they have a lot of options. I really like the chicken salad (with baked chicken slices) and the hummus was more fun for the second time. They seem to do good business so they may not be forced to lower their prices much more, but I would probably return if a few more items were a little cheaper.
I eat Neto's breakfast pastries. They are among the best pastries I found in Mountain View (Prolific Oven in Palo Alto is better, but further away). Traditional Jewish delights such as babka and rugalach, large croissant and pan chocolat. Only a few times tried to eat and was not impressed.
