Bidrage med feedbackNever disappoints best taqueria in mountain view. great customer service and less than 30 min wait and lots of variety
The food itself was not terrible taste-wise, but the price you pay for it is not equal. Overly expensive for very little. It took two meals to fill each of us, resulting in a purchase of around 40 dollars per person for some scraps and our shrimp was frozen.Service is actually ok... if you speak Spanish. Maybe they get enough customers to not bother knowing English, but that 's pretty bad.Drunk customers yelping and whistling to the sad Mariachi music late into the night. Very small, the price implies sit down , but the space implies pickup and leave. Personally, not seeing my business ever again, but maybe its your thing?
There's a language barrier. You shouldn't bother here if you don't speak spanish. I ordered IN spanish and they still got my order wrong and my Spanish isn't bad. Its like she wanted me to order something and just have me anything instead of telling me they didn't have what i wanted
Tl;dr: Wrong order, perhaps due to a language barrier issue.I picked this place because I had an early appointment and it was one of the few food options open that wasn't a fast food burger joint or sit-down breakfast restaurant.Tried to order a lengua torta. Was told the only torta they still make is a milanesa. Said ok, I'll have that then. Paid, got my food, then left.Opened the foil to discover it was a jamon and piña torta. (Would have taken pictures but was short on time due to the aforementioned morning appointment.)So I ate it anyway (was afraid going back and trying to fix it would be too hard/take too long, and again I had an appointment I didn't want to risk being late for or missing over a sandwich). It wasn't bad, even though it wasn't what I was expecting it to be, and I normally don't eat ham and hate pineapple in savory dishes. It was really drippy, though, as others have also commented, so watch your upholstery. So I got a torta I was told they didn't make anymore. Nor did I get my first or even my second choice which they told me was the only torta they still make. And I'm not sure why, if lengua tacos are still on the menu, they can't put lengua meat on a torta bun with torta fixin's instead of on a tortilla with taco fixin's. (Hope it's not because the tacos are preassembled at 7 in the morning.)I really want to like this place since they're open late and close by. But I'm not sure what happened there or how to prevent this from happening again, so I'm not sure it's worth the risk/effort/time.
Fabulous pupusas! We did not eat in because they had a big group in to watch Mexican wrestling very loudly. The tamale had a lot of chicken in it.
