Calico Cupboard Old Town Cafe Bakery

I have no idea how Calico Cupboard doesn't have 5.0 rating!! I've visited there twice this week while with relatives- the 1st time was so excellent I had to come back before flying home! The family tried everything from Eggs Bennie to omelets to eggs over medium to French Toast to pancakes! Even the coffee was outstanding. No exaggerating- this is the best restaurant food I've ever tasted. Hands down! Everything was perfectly prepared, generous portions, and the service was incredible. Huge shout out to Freeman who juggled multiple special requests with a huge smile and expertise. This is my 1st choice from now on when I'm in town!

How cute is this place! I stopped by when visiting the tulips and this place is the cutest! You can dine in or just grab items from their bakery! we got a cinnamon roll, artichoke and pesto sandwich, snowball coffee which was so good, and a cream puff. the cream puffs are so huge I was so surprised. when we were checking out the lady was so sweet offering us napkins and utensils that I didn't even think of grabbing when leaving with all our bakery items. would love to come back.

Wowowow, one of the best places we have eaten at during our trip. The coffee, cinnamon roll, and veggie scramble were amazing. Would definitely stop by in the future.

The food was great. Service was okay. It's very busy on weekend mornings so you have to write your name on the waiting list. Then bussers/hostess will call you. We waited right outside and They called the person in front of us 10x but never us even though we asked. And then they moved on, and we had to go up and ask and they realized their mistake. A bit of a disorganized mess, but food was good.

A bit pricey for what you get. The savory food here tends to be rather bland for my taste, but the sweets and baked goods are great. The staff is friendly and while wait times can occasionally be a bit long there's a relaxed laid back atmosphere that lends itself well to waiting...and they're pretty quick with coffee refills in the meantime. ;
