Real La Michoacana - Mount Prospect

I have had some of the best ice cream ever at this place. It's not fancy, but a super casual hidden gem that goes above and beyond. I highly recommend it if you want authentic and delicious ice cream.

I?m from a city where there?s a big Mexican community. When I moved to Schaumburg I was sad to know there?s not a single Michoacana anywhere. I tried this place and it was a disgusting mess. I waited 30 minutes for a chicharrón preparado. It wasbadly put together, the mayonnaise wasn?t spread just put on there in big chunks. It was so heavy I couldn?t lift it and it allfell apart and became watery. So dissapointed. There was also two really loud teens who came out of no where into the kitchenjust to talk with the staff. I hated it here

I got a free candy stick gift!! Very colorful ice cream. Wide variety of choices. The yogurt on the top of their menu is sooo delicious ????

This is the best Michoacana I've ever tried. It's hands down better than any other one. Just try the pistachio ice cream and you'll see for yourself. It doesn't have that artificial dark green color or flavor like the others do. This ice cream tastes amazing and has a more natural color.

I usually don't mind going to this restaurant, but I had a disappointing experience today. I ordered two small yogurts but was charged for two medium ones. The yogurt cups were not filled with as much fruit as other places I have been to. I requested granola but was given oats instead. I asked for a yogurt with half natural flavor and half strawberry, but this was not fulfilled. Additionally, I received two small corns that were only two-thirds full and did not have any Mayo added. The cashier seemed to be aware of the overcharge but hesitated to provide me with a receipt. I felt that she was trying to belittle me because of my race. Despite having spent a significant amount of money at this location over the past three years, I am unsure if I will be returning in the future.
