Mia's Cantina - Mount Prospect

Stopped for quick lunch, nice corner place with beautiful outdoor space. Only thing we didn't like are the chair and table, which were very cheap and rough and made things harder. Server was very proffessional and polite, food came out quickly with good presentation. Tacos were amazing, rice could be a little better, less moist I'd say... Carnitas was also a good choice, will be back for more stuff, indoor is even more beautiful and colorful.

This restaurant was very pleasant. Walked in and was greeted. Our waiter was super nice and loved their service. I ordered the enchiladas and they were delicious! The portions were good and very tasty. Their salsa for their chips and salsa was another really good option not too spicy it had a good blend of flavor and it became my one of my favorite salsas.

Fantastic food! You must get the Tacos Nortenos, absolutely delicious. You get chips and salsa when seated. The salsa has a lot of flavor. My boyfriend and I shared the flan. The flan was pretty big, very easy to split between too people. Great place for dinner and dessert. We went early on a Friday, it got super busy later in the evening.

I've eaten here twice. Once as a pick up the order and the second time dining in for my wedding anniversary. This place is probably the best restaurant in downtown mount prospect in terms of food. I'm obsessed with the fresh guacamole and the fish tacos. When I ordered for pick up, it was the middle of the week, and the food was great! I was shocked at the size of my fish cuts in the tacos. The second time I went, we dined in (outside). It was lovely being on the corner of a quiet street. It was a pretty chill vibe. My husband and I ordered the same thing we previously ordered. The pictures below are from that experience. My husband loves the flank steak mid-rare. No complaints there. Now (sadly), my fish tacos (dining in )weren't as good as my first experience. The pieces were super small and the side portions were really small! But even though the food size was different the flavors were all still there. I just really appreciate the taste of this food. ::::Update :: I have since been back 3 times! Each time getting the fish tacos and their AMAZING veggie tacos with (zucchini and black beans)! Each time I went the tacos were soooooooooo good! I think the one time I had the less than stellar fish was a glitch in the matrix lol! Also there is a super sweet server named Erica, always trust her recommendations ! She knows that menu and gives great descriptions of each meal.

Loved this place. Ceviche was on par with what I've had in Mexico. The plantains are to die for. Can't wait to go back.
