Jens Town Hall Hotel - Mount Gambier

Recommended by caravan park we were staying at. Quite busy on a Tuesday night in school holidays. Didn't book, but greeted and seated quickly. Big, extensive menu, something for everyone. Meals came out quickly. The entree macho nacho was a ridiculously huge size, my 12yo couldn't eat most of it, which felt wasteful. Nice ambience in the dining room. Quick to get drinks at the bar. Would visit again. Run well!

This would have to be our favourite dining experience. The meals are always superb, cooked to perfection and very tasty. A good salad and vegetable bar. Meals are a good size. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Would have to be one of the best places to eat. Thoroughly recommend it.

We arrived in town just before 2pm trying to find somewhere to eat on Easter Monday so a lot of places were closed. We thought we would try here, while they didn’t have a lot of staff the local waiting for takeaway assured us the food was great and handed us some menus lots of choices and 1/2 serves or entree serves available on some items. Our meals were quick to arrive and generous serves. The meals were tasty. Would come again if we were in the area.

From the Specials Board I chose the Roast Pork. This was one of the Best I have ever eaten in a Hotel setting, tender meat, served with roasted vegies and a delicious gravy! The others in my group chose Crumbed Prawns and Calamari and they too were not disappointed!

Worst pub food we ever had. Had lunch with my family today. 26/12/2021. Food was really oily. Oil was all over the plates. Service was so bad and unfriendly. We asked some water for the table. Brought a bottle of water without glass. My wife and me both had chicken and we both end up having gastro. Not recommending for any meal.
