Highbury - Mount Barker

Reasonable rates , roast beef was a bit tough and lots of fatty bits. A few shrivelled potatoes roasted in their skins. Saves money hiring someone to peel them I suppose, but peeled roast potato is much nicer. Husband had a bowl of chips, much better value. Bought two sour cherry cheesecakes for friends who could not make it, they said were amazingly delicious. Had to ask for Horseradish sauce, and it was nasty super vinegary and too hot. Definitely not Neumanns. Nearby pensioners complained of the cold. Assigned table up steps difficult for one patron to navigate. good clean toilets and they have cheaper specials for lunch, will go for lunch next time. lovely staff.....Upgrade review: went for lunch- $15 special, we both chose bangers and mash. 3 snags, lovely mash all topped with bacon and gravy and a large half tomato plus grilled onions on the side. As usual lovely friendly staff, everything really clean, tables wiped down and dried) as soon as patrons left.Much nicer visit.

Havent been here in years, still a lovely venue. Attended upstairs for a function. Wonderful and friendly bar staff. Meals in the restaurant are amazing however for the function felt they were under the pump to get them out, the schnitzel fish option were still very oily.

What a stunning welcome by Jessica. We were late by 10 mins for lunch and the Chef still took time to cook for us. I will be back for sure. Large and clean venue, tasty food

Went into the Highbury last week and had an amazing time there. the staff were wonderfull and the coffee was amazing. deffinatly coming back soon! 10/10 service

We went to the Highbury Hotel for dinner tonight with my two young kids for my birthday. The food was fast and we enjoyed our meals, and the kids had an awesome time playing on the clean new looking indoor playground. It was great as me and my husband were able to relax for once! And best of all the staff were absolutely lovely. The young boy who was there taking orders and also waiting was really kind and lovely, and even offered to take a family photo for us. And the young lady was also really lovely. They both helped to make my birthday experience really fantastic. First time that we came and we will definitely be back!
