Indian Villa - Motherwell

The food at this restaurant is exceptional, but the service during our recent visit was extremely disappointing. Despite booking a table for 8 at 6pm, we were seated 30 minutes late without any acknowledgment or apology. The starters were fine, but we waited nearly an hour for our main courses. When the bill arrived, it was messy and lacked any information, leaving us to calculate our own total. There was no gesture of goodwill, such as a complimentary item or discount, which is usually expected in such situations. While the staff were friendly and the food was tasty, the lack of care or acknowledgment for the subpar service we experienced was unacceptable. As a result, we are unlikely to return as regular customers.

I cannot find any faults with this restaurant. The food is excellent; we dined here twice in one week! The staff are formal and quiet, but friendly when engaged in conversation. I had never tried Goan curry before, but decided to order it from their menu and it was absolutely divine! My husband ordered the mushroom poori, which we both enjoyed, as well as the chickpea in my samosa starter. When we move to Glasgow in a few months, this will definitely be our go-to spot for Indian cuisine.

This restaurant in Motherwell is a great choice for those looking for Indian vegetarian food. I recommend making a reservation in advance, as it was quite busy even on a Monday. The free parking right behind the restaurant is a big plus. The only downside was the cost, as the prices were a bit higher than expected. Despite this, the food was tasty - although one vegetarian curry was priced at £12.95, which was a bit surprising.

I am not a lover of Indian food to rich for my palette, but partial to an Onion Bagee , so had that as a starter with some chutney loved every morsel of them . Had the fish amazing is an understatement, best I have had anywhere great staff interaction and so polite prices was good for our large group will endeavour to eat there again

Booked a table for 2 for 6pm. Ordered food and a drink. Spiced onions arrived 10 mins later. Despite asking when food would arrive as we were going to concert in the civic it took over an hour to be fed. Sadly no explanation or apology. Food was bland. Also lots of people came in for takeaways and left withing 10 mins. Shocking service and attitude. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
