Hostaria San Carlo - Moscazzano

The atmosphere was very nice; the staff was efficient perhaps too efficient as we felt a rushed. Our first course (similar to steak tartar) was very good although the large amount of cheese on top took away from the flavour of the beef. The portion of beef was generous as well. Our second course, risotto with porcini mushrooms and pumpkin was extremely disappointing. There was a 2 order minimum for risotto so my friend and I both ordered it total cost 30 Euros. The portion was very small and there were very few mushrooms. Additionally, the flavour was mediocre at best. 30 Euros' for two small portions of risotto that didn't contain any fish or beef or truffles is outrageous. When i explained my dissatisfaction with the server, she ignored me completely and simply asked if we would like dessert!

In a nice village area, with nearby old farms and natural decoration of neighbourhood with chicken and cows. The old building establishment in its juice,makes a warm wellcome , human and decoration too. Simple nice food served with personal touch and care for guests. Mostly recommanded if you are in area.

During cycling trip, after visiting Moscazzano, me and my friend decided to go to this restaurant, based on tripadvisor 's score. When we arrived, restaurant seemed closed. After ringing the bell, they told us, that restaurant was closed. It turned out that opening hours which google specified were not valid. Nevertheless, they offered us water, and decided to prepare something for us. And it was the best cured meat that I have ever tasted! After that chef, asked if we wanted a dessert, and to the question, what are the options? he said I can fix you something, and it will be really good . We gave it a shot. And it was the best dessert we have tasted during our 8 days of extensive food tasting in Crema, Milan and Bergamo : To summarize, super-friendly atmosphere, charismatic chef, and great food!

I expected a good osteria, but I found a very well maintained restaurant. all the dishes were delicious, small portions compared to expectations, but all really very good and well presented. price a little higher than the average of the area, but I have to say it was all the average of the area, so this is the expense. definitely recommended.
