Bidrage med feedbackGreat place for brunch! They served a delicious soup and had gluten-free bread available. The interior was bright and sunny, and the menu had a good variety of options to choose from.
I thought I would try the mushroom pies for a change, hoping they would be full of mushrooms. Unfortunately, they were mostly minced meat with only one mushroom in the middle. A truly good mushroom pie should be filled with mushrooms throughout. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience.
We ordered the small breakfast and were disappointed with the quality. The eggs were overcooked and rubbery, the bacon was burnt to a crisp, and the bread was hard as leather. Additionally, we had to wait a long time for such a simple meal. We do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
We picked up a standard salad roll and drink on our way through Mortlake. There were no vegetarian pies or pasties in the warmer but no biggie. We sat outside and watched the passing parade of utes and kelpie.
Very popular bakery and many people stop here on the way through Mortlake. It’s an institution! Delicious and wide range of bakery items, rolls and cakes. Plenty of tables to sit at. I would reorganise the bakery to get the customer service flowing better as it is a very busy place and can get a little messy otherwise we will be back!
