The Galley Seafood Grill ‎

I’ve eaten here many times and have always found the service to be spectacular and the food to be the best seafood I’ve ever had.If you have a problem with this place…YOU’RE the problem.

Best spot to see the famous rock of beautiful Morro Bay, food was Ok but nothing special.

The food and the view were great, the scallops in particular were incredible. We had to wait for a table for a while, which was fine given I knew it was first come first serve, but there was a table available that the host gave to a party who I guess had put their names down earlier but who said they were 20 minutes away. So I don’t totally understand how the seating policy works. I was mostly disappointed because I brought my partner to Morro Bay for a birthday trip and this was his birthday dinner, and I told the host who said he would tell the chef, so I thought there would be some kind of birthday dessert or something, but nothing came, and when I lingered a bit hoping that there would, the host came over again and very politely asked us about our meal but in a way that made my partner say “I think that’s code for we should probably leave now.” I was really bummed about not being able to do something for his birthday here. I would probably come back again for the scallops, I just don’t think I would try to have any important dinners here.

Excellent seafood in a picturesque setting. Swordfish and scallops were delicious.

The waitress was very nice and courteous. the shrimps were excellent. the side dishes (fries and mashed potatoes) were standard. the burger was ok (we had more expectations as it was supposed to be angus). the atmosphere is cozy. the price-performance ratio is just at the limit. i would definitely eat there again and try something different.
