Sinaloa Cafe - Morgan Hill

Below average Mexican food for above average prices. The service was good but the food was not.

The food was good ol' home cooked Mexican and the portions were generous. However, it was Valentine's Day and the restaurant had done nothing special to make the atmosphere cozier or intimate. Bright lights, several TVs on the bar and table areas on, and I had to practically yell at the bartender to let her know we were there as we weren't acknowledged by anyone, even when only 5 tables were full. The Margarita recommended by the waitress who was lovely was not good yet we were charged for it. Not a big deal, but it would have been nice to have it replaced with a better one. Better for every dining and not for special occasions.

Had heard very mixed reviews but it was good. Outstanding margaritas.

Sinaloa has become too expensive for what it is. LaHacienda in Gilroy has better food for the price and it offers a similar atmosphere.

Every part of my combination except the chicken taco was very very spicy. Had not had that before. It would be helpful on the menu is something indicated level of heat. Love to try new things on the menu even after going to Sinaloa for many years. Love the bigger dining room for more quiet.. nice that the bar area which is very noisy but fun for groups or happy hour is separate. Everything very high quality.
