Bidrage med feedbackIn comparison, the cafeteria at my university was a five-star Michelin restaurant! We ordered three different dishes and didn't eat any of it. The calamari and fish were rubbery, the chips were undercooked, and the burger was as dry as a bone. If you want to stay hungry, this is the place to go.
I had a seafood plate on my first day for lunch, which included prawns, roasted oysters, and Moreton Bay bugs. It cost $42, but it was a good deal because of a holiday special. You can either eat at the bar or take your food home to enjoy while watching the sunset. In the evening, we ordered pizzas which took about 45 minutes to be ready, but they were very tasty. I particularly liked the thin crust. The only complaint I have is that they were not cut properly. A friend had the same issue on a different day. There were long queues with 40 to 50 people at times, so it's best to pick the right time to visit. And the chips were also quite delicious.
Was only place open for dinner during the week so tried a number of different options. Salad was pre-packaged similar to that of a Servo. All disgusting. One night even ended up vomiting. After 3 meals there our family would have rather we not eat...than go back.
It's mostly fast food that's on offer, priced more than it would cost on the mainland, but you have to wait in a long queue, which gets longer during school holidays, and there is a very limited choice of items. Chances are you will not...be happy with your meal, we weren't, the beef was dry and tasteless. It's a long ride from Pinkenba, and only the coffee and beer is acceptable. The pasta looked to be a bit better, but not everyone likes pasta. They need to add staff to speed up things, otherwise a day trip here is only going to be a waste of money and time
Prepacked meals were okay. A very busy area regardless of time and day. Staff appeared to be run off their feet.
