Online booking, but the booking must never ask Italian until after we arrived

The staff was very friendly and pleasant. a good size without being overwhelming.

We visited the cotswolds from the usa and looked for a romantic Italian dinner. we tried two nights to get a reservation and since they were fully booked, we thought it was just that. That wasn't like that. it was packed (as expected), but full of families with small children. the volume in the restaurant was loud. it wasn't romantic. the food was delicious, the service was hastened with very little eye contact. the waitress was perfunctory, short and very capable. I think it was just a function of fast turnover to accommodate all fully booked reservations! I would recommend this restaurant for the taste of eating and the families, but not for a romantic dinner.
