The Morecambe Hotel

Came NYE with friends. Had starters, mains, deserts and drinks. Service was great, attentive but not OTT. We had bread and dips to start, fish&chips and steak and ale pie as mains followed by cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding for desserts. All of the food was delicious and generous portions. Have been many times before but this was by far the best in terms of food (always v good but this was excellent). It wasn’t overly busy, as in not 100% of tables occupied at same time which meant we had longer than you’d usually expect at our table. I’d highly recommend

We made our visit around 2.00pm on Boxing Day and it was reasonably quiet, but it soon became busy with other parties. This was fine as there was still a few tables around us that were free. The food we had was excellent and lots of it!! plus the service was also good and we were well looked after.

Had a wonderful meal with friends last night in a lovely setting. The service was great and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The staff were initially attentive, but it appeared that the more experienced workers left and were replaced by slower, less focused younger employees who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving guests. It seemed like there was a lack of accountability among the staff. However, the food was excellent. The quality of service may not be enough to make us return in the future.

The food and service at this restaurant are both excellent. We come here every year for our post-Christmas family gathering and plan to continue doing so in the future.
