Bidrage med feedbackThe food at this restaurant is delicious, and the atmosphere is charming and well-decorated. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow - it took 20 minutes to get a drink, and our waiter forgot our orders even though the restaurant was not very busy. This is not the place to go if you have plans afterwards.
During my last day off, I found myself short on cash in Ashwem. Not many places in the area take cards, and ATMs are scarce. I stumbled upon a small restaurant near the surfing school that exceeded my expectations. Each dish I tried was a culinary delight. Although not typical for India, I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Our most recent trip to Goa was truly one-of-a-kind. From our stay at Vaayu on Ashvem beach to the delicious treats at their Prana Cafe, every moment was memorable. Chef Varun, who oversees the cafe, focuses on creating healthy and delectable dishes. We couldn't get enough of the millet waffles topped with banana, walnuts, and honey - they were incredibly tasty, even without butter or honey. The mixed fruit waffle was beautifully presented, almost like a piece of art! The eggvocado dish, featuring a poached egg on half an avocado drizzled with olive oil, surrounded by rocket and cherry tomatoes, was a delightful spread. In addition to a variety of coffee options, Varun offers a unique selection of drinks and smoothies. Overall, a visit to Prana Cafe is a definite must.
This cafe stands out on many levels. When I first walked in I was impressed by the unique Tamil Nadu style architecture made out of natural materials. The cafe has hung professional looking art from their art residency program around the cafe. So nice to see something besides psy trance art and neon oms! I sat at the naturally shaped wood counter top that had a great view of the ocean and ordered a superfood smoothie and Japanese Glass Noodle bowl with prawns. The smoothie was perfectly chilled with ice (hard to find around goa) and I felt like I was drinking all the minerals and vitamins that I had been missing in on my chai -chapati diet. The noodles with prawns was light yet filling, clean and flavorful. It was great to not feel like taking a nap after a filling meal. I was also impressed with the music selection that I hadn't yet heard in India. The chef informed me about the many DJ's/music producers that work and come through the venue and leave their best selection of music tracks. Basically this was a comfortable and cool place to hang out that engaged me on many levels. They even had giant crystals ornamenting the tables! Im already day dreaming about going back. Check this place out!
Visited Prana at least 3 times a day while staying at Vaayu.. the breakfast options are fresh and healthy, and the smoothies---! so tasty and fill you up for hours! the barman making the cocktails / juices and smoothies is amazing!!!! thanks again!
